Christian wanted a modern but fast-loading site -- nothing to slow down prospective clients and possibly deter contact or future sales.  His concerns were also that most of his client-base are not typically computer savvy, so navigation had to be simple and efficient, and most importantly, self-explanatory.

This site uses PHP scripts which dynamically read the contents of the sample image directories and generate navigation offsets on-the-fly. This allows Christian to upload content without ever having to change any of his website code.

AtticWear.com is a fully functional secure shopping cart-based web store. Built with PHP and mySQL, it is designed for speed and versatility and the management of over twenty nine thousand products!  The store hosts the artwork of over fifty artists, with more signing on each month.

Traffic is tracked and custom traffic reports are available. A robust sales reporting system shows current year to date figures in real time. A production/process screen enables the proprietors to see, at  a glance, which orders are pending, shipped, or cancelled.  A wholesale sub-system and quote manager are also built in. A real-time artist sales and commission interface allows participating artists to see their sales and commissions-paid-to-date all in real time, too.

Session management and cookies are implemented for shopping cart management and access to future enhancements to control access to special areas such as premium content and subscription services.

Attic-World.com is the main interface for the Attic-World web hosting company. It is a community portal, built around an Open Source Solution. It uses CSS, PHP and mySQL for managing users, trouble ticks and handles RSS feeds from other websites for front page content that is always up-to-the-minute and current.  Session and cookie management handle security and member rights administration.  There is a trouble ticket system which automates the support functions and a member forum, where announcement can be made and members can participate in discussions.

Audres-Attic.com

Audres-Attic.com has been replaced by Weird-Art.com.  Audres-Attic.com was, for many years, the domain used by Audre to showcase her art. 

This very experimental and abstract web navigation concept invited visitors to explore with their mouse to uncover hidden treasure and parts of the web site.  By holding their mouse over each sphere, the web visitor is able to activate the sphere which causes it to glow and reveal the section of the website that it leads to.

A Warm Welcome LLC wanted to incorporate their logo (aqua Victorian key, business name in Jester font, and catch phrase enclosed within art nouveau-style border) into a website concept which they were very specific about. They wanted a vibrant green background, but also a very clean and open looking, professional web presence that wasn't cold or gender specific. In addition, they wanted the site created using FrontPage to allow them to update and maintain the site as their business grows.

This was a very challenging design because the company logo incorporated so many elements of varying style.  By echoing selected shapes in solid colors (the Victorian key, and some of the art nouveau border elements) and placing the site in a 'picture frame' we were able to convey a warmth and 'hominess' without compromising the professional and super-clean look. We were able to soften the bright green background by using a seamless tile that was reminiscent of formal wallpaper.
