After obtaining her degree in Electrical Engineering
and spending 15 years working with factory automation and information
systems, in 2001 Audre Vysniauskas made a major career change and, signing
herself just audre, became a professional illustrator.
At about the same time Audre became a vociferous advocate
of the use of computers in creating art. Audre remains extremely active in
the digital arts community, having contributed to various digital imaging
conferences, conventions, and magazines.
Audre is the founder & manager of the first digital art
section in the world's largest science fiction and fantasy convention and
annual celebration of the fantastic, Dragon*Con. Audre is also the Director
of Art Show Sales and Marketing.
Audre is currently working with Christian Seidler,
founder of the Matricism art movement and new language for expression in
art. Audre is responsible for the design and development of the web-based
education program and foundation under joint development by the
Jeffersonian Institute and Matricism LLC. Audre is the technical liaison and
one of the
instructors at the school where she specializes in helping students,
teachers, and community-based organizations seeking guidance and education
about the professional world of art and the art industry.
Audre is the founder of Attic Adventures, a company
focused on expanding markets and marketing opportunities for artists and
small business owners. Under the
Attic Adventures umbrella are three
loosely joined businesses created specifically to address the needs of
artists and entrepreneurs: AtticWear.com, a singular collection of
wearable inspiration showcasing art of all genres available on clothing
and accessories. Attic-ARTifacts.com, specializing in high quality,
print-on-demand archival grade prints from the world's most talented
visionaries. And, Attic-World.com, a magical place where the tormented
web-traveler can find solid, reasonably-priced and unique web technology
solutions, imaginative design services and reliable web hosting -- all
wrapped up in one service provider!
Audre is the founder and a past Editor-in-Chief of
Renderosity Magazine.
Audre has been featured in various magazines, articles
and interviews, showcasing her art and illustration techniques.
Audre was a course reviewer for Siggraph and an
administrator at Renderosity.com, and the WizOp (technical administrator)
for one of the world's first ever online artist communities at
CompuServe.com.
Always pushing the digital envelope, she enjoys tying
together varied sources in experimental art, often incorporating fractals,
photographs and other unlikely elements in her work. Audre has created
numerous book covers, interior book illustrations and illustrations for
advertising. |
